Atlantic High Skilled Program

Atlantic High-Skilled Program (AHSP) is a component of the Atlantic Immigration Pilot. 

This plan allows eligible international workers with a job proposal from Atlantic Canada to request Canadian permanent residency. IRCC endeavors to process 80% of applications within 6 months. A candidate must have a business offer from a nominated company for 1 year under NOC Skill Level 0, A, or B to pass under this program.

Job Offer

Applicants must have a business offer that is:

  • From an AIP-referred company in an Atlantic province.
  • Full-time and non-periodically.
  • According to NOC skill type 0, A, or B.
  • Last for a minimum of 1 year.
  • Made using the accurate governmental form.

The business offer of the candidate does not require the same profession as previous work practice. However, an applicant does need to satisfy employment conditions for the job, as seeded in the NOC.

Work Experience

You must have worked for a minimum of one year within the previous three years. It can be full-time or non-constant, as long as it continues up to 1,560 hours.

The job must be:

  • In one profession, but can be with various companies.
  • Paid employment and unpaid internships will not be counted.
  • NOC skill type 0, A, or B.
  • The practice can be achieved inside or outside Canada.

Education

Applicants must have:

  • A Canadian secondary or post-secondary certification, diploma, or degree.
  • An international degree, diploma, or trading education certifications.
  • Applicants need an ECA to make sure it is legitimate and according to a Canadian credential. 

The ECA must confirm your education is equivalent to an achieved Canadian secondary or post-secondary credentials. Your ECA must be 5 years old when you implement.

Language

Applicants must:

  • Score at least CLB level 4 in the exam in English or French.
  • Take an authorized language test and satisfy the level for speaking, listening, reading, and writing.
  • Results must be less than 2 years from the date of application.

Proof of Funds

Applicants need to prove they have sufficient money to sustain themselves and their families after immigration. Funds may vary according to the family and involve family members a candidate raises that are not immigrating.
