Alberta Express Entry Stream
The Alberta Express Entry Stream supports Alberta to specify a short specific number of qualified applicants from Express Entry system of IRCC. With the invention of the EE Stream, Alberta can now choose and invite applicants directly from the governmental Express Entry pool to ask for a provincial proposal.
Getting the provincial proposal provides a great advantage to the applicant in the EE pool, and they will receive 600 extra points under the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS).
Eligibility Criteria
Suppose you obtain a Notification of Interest (NOI) report from Alberta, and you are fascinated by being considered for this program. In that case, you must forward proof of the letter along with additional data to the AINP by email within two weeks after obtaining the letter.
To be recognized for a proposal, you must meet the following criteria when your application is presented in the AINP portal and when your application is judged.
- It would be best if you had an active EE profile in the governmental EE pool.
- Expressed a desire to permanently immigrate to Alberta;
- Engaged in an occupation that contributes to Alberta’s economic growth and diversification; and
- CRS score of 300 will be the minimum score.
How To Apply?
Application steps for applying to Express Entry Stream of Alberta are as follows:
- If you receive the NOI letter, provide them with your email address, EE profile number, and status information. If you are not eligible and receive an NOI, do not reply to that email.
- If you get applied, you will receive an email containing a link to the AINP portal.
- Read the terms and conditions of AINP.
- You must satisfy all assessment rules at the time of application and appraisal. Your application will not be accepted if you do not meet the criteria.
- Complete the online application and submit the application fee.
Alberta Express Entry stream application fee
The application fee of Express Entry Stream of Alberta is 500$.
The AINP administration fee is not refundable after the application has been given to the AINP. Refund offers and requests for applying payments will not be admitted. There is no confirmation or guarantee that you will be issued a proposal certificate.
Your Alberta Express Entry Stream application will not be accepted for processing if:
- You have an active nomination which has not expired and/or is eligible for extension under another AINP stream. Candidates are only eligible for one AINP Nomination Certificate.
- You have been issued a letter on a previous AINP application that stated you are not eligible to re-apply to the AINP for a specified period of time. If you submit an application during the specified period, it will be declined. It is recommended you keep your Express Entry profile up to date so that you remain eligible for consideration under the Alberta Express Entry Stream in the future.
