What are the most common and easy programs to immigrate to Canada?
Express Entry has been classified as the fastest immigration program for skilled workers, the immigration process can proceed in six months or less.
This program is point-based which can be calculated using the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS), your score will be calculated based on your age, language, education, work experience….etc, to have a qualified score you need to score 67 points or more.
Express Entry has 3 main streams which are:
A. Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP) (You need to score at least 67 out of 100)
B. Federal Skilled Trades Program (FSTP) (You need to have a valid job offer which is full-time or a minimum of 1 year)
C. Canadian Experience Class (CEC) (You have worked for at least 1 year in Canada)
On June 2023, The Minister of Immigration, Refugee, and Citizenship in Canada, Sean Fraser, announced Targeted Express Entry Draws (Category Based) Criteria which focus on 5 categories.
The 5 categories are represented in the following:
- Healthcare
- Science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) professions
- Trades, including carpenters, plumbers, and contractors
- Transport
- Agriculture and Agri-food.
First Targeted Express Entry Draw was announced on July 2023.
If you didn’t meet the Express Entry requirements don’t worry you can apply for the Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) as it is the easiest way to immigrate to Canada. You have 2 ways to apply for the Provincial Nominee Program, which are:
1. Canada Express Entry linked models
2. Apply directly to the province
Provincial Nominee Program has 8 streams, which are:
A. Ontario Immigration Nominee Program (OINP)
B. Saskatchewan Immigration Nominee Program (SINP)
C. Nova Scotia PNP
D. New Brunswick Provincial Nominee Program
E. Alberta Immigrant Nominee Program (AINP)
F. British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BCPNP)
G. Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP)
H. Prince Edward Island Provincial Nominee Program (PEIPN)
Provincial Nominee Program is for those who:
- Have education, skills, and work experience to contribute to the Canadian economy.
- Having the intention to live in the province
- Want to get permanent residence in Canada.
Some streams accept certain groups or categories, such as Students, Business people, Skilled workers, and Semi-Skilled workers.

For the Start-up visa, you need to have at least 2,000,000 CAD to invest from a designated Canadian Capital Fund.
If you got a job offer so that’s your best choice for immigration to Canada, When you get a job offer from a Canadian employer you need to apply for the Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA) to the Employment in Social Development of Canada (ESDC) to support your case.
What are the Labour Market Impact Assessments (LMIA)?
LMIA is a document which is issued by ESDC to evaluate hiring a foreign worker and whether it will impact the Canadian labour market positively or negatively.
A positive LMIA shows that the employer is free to hire any foreign worker and no need for a Canadian citizen or permanent resident for the position. While a negative LMIA means that the employer should hire a Canadian citizen or permanent resident for the position.
A study permit is not considered a visa and you may need an electronic travel authorization (eTA), Study permit allows foreign nationals to study at a designated learning institution (DLI) in Canada.
To apply for a Study permit, you need to:
- Have been enrolled at a Designated Learning Institution (DLI).
- Prove that you have enough money for your tuition fees, living expenses, and your family needs.
- Have no criminal records and get a police certificate.
- Have good health.
- Prove that you won’t stay in Canada after your study permit ends.
The study permit processing time is about 6 weeks, and the fee is $150.
A visitor visa can’t be considered a way to immigrate or get permanent residency, as the maximum period for the visitor visa is 6 months.
The requirements of this program aren’t complicated, and they can be represented in the following:
- Have good health.
- Have a valid passport.
- Have enough money to pay for himself and his family.
7) Atlantic Immigration Pilot
This program allows employers to hire foreign workers for positions they weren’t able to be filled by Canadians.

To proceed in this program there are 3 steps:
- First step: the employer has to prepare the job offer which must pass the Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA) and get approved.
- Second step: in both cases of acceptance or refusal of the offer by the applicant, the employer must connect them with a designated settlement service provider for a needs assessment.
- Third step: the applicant can start working with a temporary work permit if the employer needs the candidate to start quickly.
